I love this skirt and yet always fail to capture it's beautiful deep green colour (someone give me camera lessons, PLEASE), it was such a good buy at £13.99 and fits like a dream; nice one Missguided! I'm teaching myself to be able to wear heels again too by wearing them around the house; starting small with these Jeffrey Campbell boots and it wasn't entirely a horrific experience. Slow and steady wins the race.
Yesterday was supposedly "Blue Monday" or the most depressing day of the year. I have to say it was one of the more cheerful Mondays I've had and knowing I was "meant" to be sad made me feel like I was sticking two fingers up at someone, somewhere. I feel like I've turned a corner from how sad I was last week, it may not be over yet but winter will not get the better of me.
I'm hoping to go on a little mission after work today- I do love doing half day shifts! I've fallen in love with a jumper dress by G21 at Asda and my most local store didn't have it in stock, I've sweet talked best friend in to taking me further afield...really it could and should wait until payday but patience isn't my strong point. I'll report back.

Heeeels yey!!! :) I am so happy for you, glad you are taking it steady though getting back into them. Yesterday was a bit of an odd one for me, very busy at work but I had zero motivation, a bad combination really. So glad you are feeling brighter at the moment and you stick two fingers up to sadness.

Your skirt is very nice, and your junper is so cute! I didn't even know it was supposed to be blue Monday yesterday! I had a really good day with the snow, school was pretty empty with all of the buses being delayed too xx

I love that outfit and I love the feel of velvet as well as how it looks. It's too bad the lovely deep green colour of your Missguided velvet skater skirt didn't show up. You're not alone in that. I took some photos and videos in a dark green top recently that came out looking black.
I LOVE the cat face on your Asos jumper! I'm thankful your Monday was cheerful - reading that was uplifting for me. I would have been quite depressed but for the cheer of other bloggers. The title of your post provoked some strange feelings. I'm adopted, but found my natural mother many decades ago. She's elderly and doesn't like talking to me or much of anyone else as far as I know, I called her last month, and before she hung up on me I found out that she still lives alone with her cats. At least I know she's still alive.
I spent the day commenting on other people's blogs and YouTube videos.
